BMW Announces Entry Into Esports With New Partnership Deal

The League of Legends Championship Series has announced a sponsorship with BMW for the European Finals.
Announced in a video on Twitter, major automotive manufacturer BMW will be partnering with LCS for the Misfits vs G2 Esports Grand Final.
Taking place at AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France, the Final takes place on Sunday, September 3rd, with the winning team taking home € 80,000.
In the announcement, Tristan ‘PowerOfEvil’ Schrage, the mid-laner for Misfits, is seen giving keys to Unicorns of Love manager Romain Bigeard, who is then seen driving a white BMW with an LCS logo on the side.
Following the ‘Lane to Paris’ tagline, it is unknown how much influence the BMW brand will have throughout the Finals, or if the partnership will last for future tournaments.
