Alliance have dropped support Simon “Handsken” Haag, offlaner Jonas "jonassomfan" Lindholm and mid Linus "Limmp" Blomdin, according to an announcement on the team's website.

"I want to thank the Alliance organisation and everyone involved within for treating me very well and making my stay in Alliance a very pleasant and instructive one," jonassomfan said in a statement.

"I wish Alliance all the best in the future in whatever they may choose to do! For my own account the future is uncertain, but I know for sure that my Dota 2 endeavours does not end here, and I will continue to play and fight hard! Hope to see you all soon!"

All three players joined Alliance in September 2016, however the roster struggled to reach past heights in the 2016-2017 season. They failed to qualify for the Boston Major, the Kiev Major and The International 2017.

In June, Alliance's long-time carry Jonathan "Loda" Berg stepped down from the starting roster, "until after The International." He was replaced by Adrian "Era" Kryeziu. Currently Era and Axel "Pablo" Källman are the only players remaining on the team's roster.

"It has been a rough year and it’s time for me to move on to something new, where or what it will be is uncertain but I’m excited for it," Limmp said in a statement. "I’d like to thank my teammates, Alliance and our rock-solid manager, Marcus, for taking good care of us for the past year."
