DotA 2 : iG. Vitality qualify to The International 7

IG Vitality is the first Chinese team to qualify for The International 2017 after a blowout match against VG J gives them the first spot in the group stage.

With the Chinese qualifiers on a one day delay from the other five regions, the group stage results have finally sorted out, finalizing the top five teams keeping their TI7 dreams alive.

iG.Vitality were able to dethrone LGD Gaming who had taken the top slot at the end of first day. Fortunately LGD Gaming was able to at least retain their spot in the top of the group to advance to the playoffs - but the same couldn't be said about all of the teams that placed well yesterday. CDEC and FTD Club A saw themselves slip further and further away from contention as the day progressed, falling into the bottom rungs and eventually elimination.

EHOME.Keen, LGD.FY and Vici Gaming are still left to sort out their seeding for the playoffs, but for now breathe a collective sigh of relief to know their places are secured for another day.

The action will resume again tomorrow at 05:00 CEST in the first series of the playoffs.

TI7 Chinese regional qualifiers format:

Phase one: 10 teams - Round Robin group, bo1 1st place qualify to TI 7 2nd to 5th place advance to phase two

Phase two: 4 teams - GSL bracket, bo3 series Upper Bracket winners qualify to TI 7 Lower Bracket winners qualify to TI 7

Three teams total will punch their tickets to Seattle, Washington for August
